ICF for 2015

As we get ready to ring in the new year we tend to look back over the year to assess how we did and see if there are way of improving the way we operate our business , for many of us its allways if it works why try something new .
well if trying new means moving forward and exploring better profits or providing a better product then it should be a no brainer , but some how many just get stuck in a rut and can not see the furture .
for those of us that can see the road ahead then you need to reach out and go with it .

you never know it just might be to best choice you make .
For all the builders .contractor ,developer and home owners out there making the choice to use ICF for your builds this year will for ever change the way you build .
with its faster set up and install , better insulation performance and stronger over all product giving you better carrying costs and insurance rates.

As a developer providing a better end product will set you apart from the rest and can result in a better profit margin over all.

Like with all products they are not all alike and when it comes to ICF there is one that stand above the rest , giving you better R-value ,faster install and just an over all better finished product .all this and it stands out even more as it is a vertical install unlike the block type that most are familiar with .
Being vertical it lends its self to one side install leaving it open for re-bar install or other mechanical installs .
It is also stronger reducing the chance for blowout the the block ICF is so prone to .
Make this the year that your next build is with VICF and get to know what you have been missing.

To complete that build we have floor and roof ICF systems as well that far out perform the old ways of concrete and steel or wood make the change now .

Electrical Inspection Bull Shit

Well there's a few things I need to talk about today on this New electrical inspection authority where in anyone's imagination does it seem okay to allow a home owner or somebody who has no idea if they have any experience whatsoever with electricity to take out permits and do the role of electrical wiring but on the other hand if you have a builder with several years of experience Doing the work and then electrical authority comes in inspects and passes it and this happens for three jobs and all pass I believe it should be grandfathered obviously the builder knows what is doing so why would be be required to have a certification I have over 37 years come across many certified electricians who have done work that doesn't  pass I had to fix that work so this kind of thing is just ridiculous electrician can come into a home start drilling or cutting whatever running wire without a license to be a contractor or carpenter has no idea what size hole will be okay I believe that, electricians and plumbers should not be allowed to do drilling and cutting we start saying that all other trades cannot cut or drill hole unless they are certified carpenter and as for the inspector he has no idea about the structural he is looking at so when he sees wire run through Joist he does not know if structural is okay but he'll pass it so I think inspectors should have to be certified in structural integrity if not they should have to hire a carpenter to do all the drilling and cutting IT'S time we fight back
The next time i have an electrical inspection  I will make the inspector tell me if the holes and cut are ok or if they are causing structure problems everywhere that  the electrician drilled cut or added wood I will call the inspector on it and I will keep doing it until they stop giving me a hard time with me doing my own electrical work.

VIOLENCE IS COMING ?

over the past few years our governments have been imposing laws apon us that are hurting our means to make a living .
It has always been an up hill battle to run small business with all the red tape and cash grabs put in place but lately under the smoke screen of safety or better woking condition etc. we have been attacked with money grabs and now there is more cash grabs coming down the pipe .when will it stop

this goverment needs to stop ,with this country filling up with people that come from country's where violence is the only way they know to protest goverment injustice  along with the fact that we live in a country where guns are easy to buy and posses it is not a far stretch to think that some day open violent   protest like what we see over sea's could very likly happen here if our means to make a living is constantly being attacked while those that have everything keep getting more on the backs of us .

Our governments need to stop now and start changing to really make laws that help us make a living small businesses provide more jobs and help fuel our economy more than large companys and if you take away our means to work we will have no choice but to fight back .

We as voters need to stop voting with our emotion and start looking and demanding for real change and hold those we vote in to those demands and if violent is the only way that so be it , if we do not stand up and say NO than we have only our selves to blame .

our home 7 Bay st

https://www.facebook.com/fred.patterson.944/posts/10151993575149748   this video shows our house that we spent 4 years renovating  the floors on the first floor our hand made ash , we had 3000l' droped off and joanna ran every stick through the planner and then we put it through the tables saw and joinner . as you can see that after we sanded and stained the floor it came up great . the top floor is wide plank pine that we sanded and stained .

in the kitchen we took out the back wall of the house and added 5 feet to add more space , we used $100 a pec cabinets from Home Depot to make the kitchen and joanne painted the black one and ordered handles from ebay as well as most of the light and bath fictures .

the light ficture over the dinning table is a candle holder that joanne instaled a light in the middle .
we installed millwork throughout with wainscotting and cove molding and beaded board on walls and ceilings
the tile floors in the baths are heated 'the soaker tub in the hall bath has water jet and master bath is as you can see a spa bath with a 2 head walkin shower granit counter top with twin vessel sinks and a tub to soak in all day.

the master suite has vaulted ceilings built in shelveing and a electic fireplace and TV mounted above
we have instaled a 2nd kitchen on the 2nd floor and cut out the wall so that the 2nd floor can be a 2 bedroom apt and the 1st floor can be commercail space or tured into a 2 bedroon apt as well

this property sit on a corner lot in the main section of Baysville we have a large landscaped side yard with stone patio and walk ways as well as a fire pit .
